Wuling Exion: New EV and PHEV SUV at IIMS 2026, Shows High Consumer Interest
Jakarta — Although not yet officially launched for sale, Wuling’s new Exion model, which was introduced at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2026 (IIMS 2026), is already attracting significant attention from prospective consumers.
One clear indicator of this interest is the high volume of visits to the product page on the company’s official website. “For the Exion at IIMS, this was our first-ever display, so we haven’t officially started selling yet,” said Ricky in Jakarta on Friday, 13 March 2026.
Nevertheless, public interest is becoming evident through consumer digital activity seeking information about the model. “We monitor traffic on our product page for the Exion, and the views are quite substantial. We’re seeing an average of around 5,000 daily visitors coming to our product page,” he noted.
According to Ricky, the high traffic represents an early indicator that the public is becoming curious about the new model introduced by Wuling at the automotive exhibition.
For context, the Wuling Exion is a seven-seater SUV measuring approximately 4.7 metres in length, 1.8 metres in width, and 1.7 metres in height, with emphasis on spacious cabin dimensions to meet family requirements.
The model is planned to be offered with two electrification technology options: a battery electric vehicle (EV) with a battery capacity of approximately 56.7–60 kWh, claimed to be capable of achieving a range of up to 530 kilometres. For the PHEV version, additional details regarding fuel-hybrid capabilities were referenced but not fully elaborated in the initial presentation.
In terms of features, the Exion is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, a battery system called Magic Battery for the EV variant, and the Ling OS intelligent infotainment system.
