Wuling Encourages EV Partners to Explore Free Nutritious Meal Programme
JAKARTA — Wuling Motors is opening opportunities for the utilisation of its commercial electric vehicle, Wuling Mitra EV, for various operational needs, including supporting distribution for the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG).
Marketing Operation Director of Wuling Motors, Ricky Christian, stated that the Mitra EV was designed as a multifunctional vehicle that can be used by various user segments, spanning the private sector, social services, and government agencies.
According to him, Wuling’s team is currently exploring partnerships with multiple parties deemed to have potential for utilising the commercial electric vehicle, including for the distribution needs of social programmes such as MBG.
“Our team is exploring offers to several potential parties, including through our dealer network. So it is not specific to companies or government alone,” said Ricky.
However, he emphasised that to date, there have been no formal orders from the government regarding the utilisation of Mitra EV, including for supporting the MBG programme.
Ricky explained that the various discussions currently taking place remain at the exploration and collaboration opportunity stage with multiple parties.
“In terms of specifics, some are for social services, whilst others are still being explored. But formally, government is also very broad in scope, so several are still in process,” he said.
As a commercial electric vehicle, the Mitra EV is designed to support urban logistics needs.
The vehicle features a spacious cargo area and flexible body configuration that can be adapted to various operational requirements, ranging from goods distribution and urban logistics to social services.
