Wuling Donates Mitra EV to Jakarta Health Department and Kitabisa
Jakarta — Automotive manufacturer Wuling Motors has launched a corporate social responsibility activity during Ramadhan by symbolically handing over two electric commercial vehicles, the Wuling Mitra EV Minibus, to the Jakarta Provincial Health Department and Kitabisa Foundation.
The two vehicles will subsequently be used as an ambulance and hearse to benefit members of the public who require such services.
“This initiative is also part of Wuling’s commitment to bringing electric vehicle innovations that are not only relevant to business needs, but also provide a positive impact for society,” said Ricky Christian, Marketing Director of Wuling Motors, in Jakarta on Friday.
The Wuling Mitra EV is designed with a multifunctional character so that it can be used for various operational needs. The model offers a spacious cabin and practical design to support daily operational activities.
Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with various features that can be relied upon as an operational vehicle for various public services.
“We hope the presence of this vehicle can help improve the readiness of emergency services whilst strengthening health facilities in providing fast and accurate service,” he said.
On the same occasion, Alfatih Timur, Chairman of the Kita Bisa Foundation, said that the “Pulang” initiative from Kitabisa would utilise the electric hearse to transport the deceased from disadvantaged communities as well as homeless deceased persons.
“The ‘Pulang’ initiative is part of Kitabisa’s ecosystem to provide the best honour for residents in need when they pass away,” he said.
