Wuling Dealers Already Accepting Pre-Orders for Eksion Before Official Launch

JAKARTA - Enthusiasm among the public for Wuling’s latest electric car, the Eksion, appears unstoppable. Although it has not yet been officially launched in the Indonesian market, reports indicate that pre-orders for this eco-friendly vehicle have already started flowing at the dealer level.

This step is taken to accommodate Wuling’s loyal customers who are eager to be among the first owners.

Since its exterior was showcased at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) a few weeks ago, the car has successfully captured the attention of visitors with its modern design.

Although the manufacturer is still keeping the exact launch date under wraps, signals of the Eksion’s presence on Indonesia’s roads are growing stronger. The phenomenon of dealers jumping the gun with pre-orders is an indication that demand in the field is quite substantial.

“Actually, we haven’t opened official pre-orders yet. But perhaps some dealers can already accept them if there are consumers who really want to book from now,” said Ricky to reporters when met in Jakarta recently.

“The booking fee, since it’s not official from us yet, we haven’t standardised it. But once we officially open it, we will certainly standardise it for all branches,” Ricky added.

This situation is common for models with high waiting times. Typically, salespeople at dealers will offer a deposit within a certain amount to ensure the unit can be prioritised immediately upon the first delivery after the launch.

For prospective consumers, providing a booking fee early can be a smart strategy to avoid long waiting periods. However, Wuling still advises consumers to coordinate directly with the official dealer network to obtain more accurate information details.

The Eksion is predicted to be new ammunition for Wuling to strengthen its dominance in the national electric vehicle market. With the positive response from the public, the arrival of this car is hoped to provide a new competitive option for electrification enthusiasts in Indonesia.
