Wuling Darion Claims 4,000 Units Sold, EV Variant Dominates
Jakarta — Wuling Motors has recorded sales of over 4,000 units for its latest electrified model, the Wuling Darion, since its public introduction on 5 November 2025.
Ricky Christian, Marketing Operation Director at Wuling Motors, stated that this achievement demonstrates positive consumer response to the electrified vehicles offered by the company.
“To date we have achieved over 4,000 units. We also express our gratitude for consumer confidence in using our products for mobility, particularly the Wuling Darion,” said Ricky in Jakarta on Friday (13 March 2026).
Additionally, test drive activity for the vehicle has also been quite high. Ricky noted that more than half of test drive participants at the Wuling booth chose to try the Darion.
“During the test drive session, more than 50 per cent of participants chose to try the Darion,” he said.
The Darion itself is a seven-seater MPV available in two electrified technology options: a pure electric vehicle (EV) and a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).
The EV variant is equipped with a battery capacity of 69.2 kWh with a driving range of approximately 540 kilometres. Meanwhile, the PHEV version combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor producing approximately 195 horsepower and is claimed to be capable of covering a distance of up to approximately 1,000 kilometres with a full battery and fuel tank.
On the same occasion, Ricky also explained the sales composition of Wuling’s electrified vehicles. Currently, pure electric vehicles continue to dominate compared to PHEV variants.
