WTJJ Officially Joins UN Global Compact, Strengthening Global Sustainability Commitment in the Water Infrastructure Sector

PT WIKA Tirta Jaya Jatiluhur (WTJJ), a strategic clean water infrastructure provider in Indonesia, has officially become a member of the United Nations Global Compact Network Indonesia (IGCN) for the period 25 June 2026 to 25 June 2027. This step marks a significant milestone for the company in adopting responsible global governance standards while strengthening the implementation of sustainability principles in the national water infrastructure sector. By joining this global network under the United Nations, WTJJ is further reinforcing the integration of sustainability principles into its business strategy. As part of the UN Global Compact community, the company will align all its operations with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, which encompass respect for human rights, the application of fair labour standards, environmental protection, and transparent and accountable anti-corruption practices. WTJJ President Director Rendy Ardiansyah stated that this membership is a testament to the company’s commitment to the global sustainability vision while strengthening its strategic role in supporting the provision of sustainable water infrastructure in Indonesia. ‘This membership in the UN Global Compact Network Indonesia is an important milestone and a manifestation of the company’s global vision. Clean water is a fundamental foundation for life and sustainable development,’ said Rendy Ardiansyah. This contribution is focused on three main goals: SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) through the provision and management of sustainable clean water for the community; SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through the development of resilient infrastructure and the promotion of environmentally friendly innovation; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strengthening cross-sector collaboration to create a broader positive impact. Through its membership in the UN Global Compact, WTJJ will continue to strengthen innovation and the implementation of sustainable practices in the management of strategic water infrastructure.
