WSP Begins Construction of SDN Inpres Cikeusal, Affirms Commitment to Affected Communities
Lebak (ANTARA) – PT Wika Serang Panimbang continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting infrastructure development while considering the interests of affected communities. One such commitment is realised through the acceleration of the relocation construction of SDN Inpres Cikeusal, which was impacted by the Serang–Panimbang toll road development. As part of the construction process, the land rights release for the replacement site, along with compensation for the SDN Inpres Cikeusal relocation land, has been completed in accordance with applicable mechanisms and regulations. The settlement of this process was carried out through coordination with various relevant parties, prioritising the principles of transparency, regulatory compliance, and a humanistic approach to the community. On 22 June 2026, the Regent of Serang accompanied the groundbreaking ceremony for the relocation construction of SDN Inpres Cikeusal, marking the start of construction work on the new school. This activity represents the local government’s commitment to ensuring the continuity of educational services and providing more adequate facilities for students and teaching staff. The construction of the relocated school is targeted for completion by early 2027 so that it can immediately be used to support a more comfortable, safe, and representative teaching and learning process. The Director of Engineering and Operations of PT Wika Serang Panimbang stated that the company is committed to accelerating the construction of affected facilities as part of its responsibility to support sustainable and community-oriented development. ‘The construction of the Serang–Panimbang Toll Road is part of efforts to improve connectivity and regional economic growth. However, we also have a responsibility to ensure that affected communities receive proper facilities. Therefore, accelerating the construction of the relocated SDN Inpres Cikeusal is one of the company’s priorities,’ said Arso T Anggoro, Director of Engineering and Operations of PT Wika Serang Panimbang. Through the construction of this new school, it is hoped that the teaching and learning process for SD Inpres Cikeusal students can proceed more optimally, while also contributing to efforts to improve the quality of educational facilities in the Serang Regency area. PT Wika Serang Panimbang is the manager of the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road, focusing on accelerating regional connectivity in Banten Province while upholding social responsibility towards the affected environment.
