WSBP Secures Contract for Smart System and Integrated Technologies Laboratory Building at Udayana University, Bali
Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (ticker: WSBP) has secured a new contract from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology for the construction of the Smart System and Integrated Technologies Laboratory (L-SSIT) at Udayana University in Bali.
Under this project, WSBP will serve as the executing contractor responsible for the entirety of construction works, ranging from site preparation and excavation to structural works, architecture, and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems — all vital components of the modern laboratory building.
“As the construction service provider, we are committed to ensuring every stage of the work is carried out on time and in accordance with quality standards, resulting in a high-quality building that can optimally support educational facilities and infrastructure,” said Fandy Dewanto, Head of WSBP’s Corporate Secretary Division.
The contract for the L-SSIT Laboratory Building at Udayana University was signed by WSBP and Udayana University on Friday (20 February) at the university’s Rectorate Building. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both parties. WSBP was represented by Itung Prasaja as Operational Director, with Anak Agung Gede Sumadi, President Director of WSBP, also in attendance as a witness. Udayana University was represented by Prof. Dr. Ir. Lie Jasa, MT, IPU, ASEAN Eng, serving as the university’s Construction Commitment-Making Official.
The construction of the L-SSIT Laboratory is expected to support the strengthening of research and technology development within the Udayana University environment, particularly in the field of integrated research and technology. The presence of a representative laboratory facility is a crucial element in enhancing the quality of learning and innovation at the higher education institution.
“We have previously undertaken a number of construction projects in the education sector, including the construction of the Cadet Quarters and Laboratory at the Defence University in Sentul, the construction of UNIPI PERSIS in Bandung, and the ongoing construction of the Madura State Polytechnic (POLTERA). This experience strengthens our capacity to deliver educational facilities that are functional and optimally support academic activities,” Dewanto added.
