WR Supratman National Park

Much has been said about the plan to build the Jakarta Tower,
which would be about five times as tall as the National Monument
and funded by three conglomerates. The House of Representatives
is strongly against the project.

I would like to propose that instead of the Jakarta Tower, a
"WR Supratman National Park" be built in Kemayoran. The park
would honor WR Supratman as the composer of our national anthem
Indonesia Raya. The bust of the composer is in the park.

The park is also useful for regreening purposes, where 27
species of trees originating from each province are planted. For
future generations this is particularly essential for fostering a
sense of unity and integrity.
