I am a cigarette and soft drink vendor on Jl. Mahakam,
Kebayoran Baru, in South Jakarta. I have been in this line of
business for ten years with its ups and downs.

The tree under which I erected my small stall was cut down two
years ago. I don't know exactly who ordered it. My inquiries were
left unanswered.

Then the house in front of my stall was demolished and a new
luxurious house was built. When the construction of the house got
underway, the hustle and bustle of the machines and the workers
was quite something.

Next to the house a supermarket was built. This made my
situation even worse. The security and order team forced me to
leave and practically ended my business. I have had no job for
nearly two months now. Could the authorities do something to give
me back my old livelihood?
