World's First Self-Balancing Electric Motorcycle, OMO X, Enters Mass Production: A New Era for Intelligent Two-Wheeled Vehicles
Singapore — Technology company OMOWAY announced at the Global Technology Launch Event 2026 held at Canopy Park, Jewel Changi Airport, that its self-balancing electric motorcycle, OMO X, has officially entered mass production. Pre-orders will open in late April. As the world’s first mass-produced self-balancing motorcycle, the OMO X represents a significant shift in the two-wheeled vehicle industry, moving from conventional vehicles to intelligent “MotoRobots” equipped with perception and smart mobility capabilities.
OMOWAY Founder Todd stated, “Only genuine embodied intelligence truly serves humanity.” By combining intelligent algorithms and hardware, the OMO X addresses classic motorcycle challenges such as instability and control difficulties, enabling the vehicle to automatically balance itself.
The technology draws from aerospace standards and reinforcement learning. The OMO X uses aerospace-industry-standard gyroscopic stabilisation technology to enhance vehicle safety and stability. Based on angular momentum conservation principles, this technology provides the core balancing system for the motorcycle. Through the proprietary OMO-ROBOT Universal architecture, the system continuously learns from millions of virtual simulations using reinforcement learning, enabling real-time active balancing capabilities.
The active safety system features millisecond response times. Supported by visual sensors and deep simulation, the OMO X can understand situations like a human. The system coordinates drive motors, steering, and braking in an integrated response framework. When encountering slippery roads or complex turns, the system can predict risks and adjust vehicle position in milliseconds. This technology marks a transition from passive protection systems to active safety.
The OMO-ROBOT Universal Architecture integrates three layers: perception (vision), decision-making (AI brain), and action (precise execution). The intelligent sensor system predicts risks through millions of cloud-based simulations, enabling the OMO X to assess hazards and master its surroundings. AI-based decision-making occurs in milliseconds, supporting more proactive responses and intelligent collaboration. Motor and hardware integration works with data to ensure accurate response, bridging intent and action. A high-speed electronic and electrical architecture ensures rapid and stable data flow between perception, decision-making, and execution.
Ricky Yu, Head of Product and Global Brand at OMOWAY, stated, “Mass production of the OMO X demonstrates that AI is no longer just software but takes physical form to understand the real world. This is what we call Embodied AI, the core of the Moto 3.0 era. It is not merely a change in vehicle form, but an important step in OMOWAY’s mission to bring AI into everyday life.”
To accelerate technology adoption, OMOWAY is expanding production. Pre-orders for the OMO X will first open in Indonesia in late April, followed by official sales launch in late May.
OMOWAY has established a network comprising dozens of experienced local distributors across the motorcycle industry. The network spans major regions in West Java and East Java, including Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and Bali, enabling users to experience firsthand the new technology-driven riding experience.
OMOWAY is a global technology company developing two-wheeled robots.
