World War III Erupts as US-Israel Attack Iran, Nostradamus Prophecy

This situation has rekindled public discussion of Nostradamus’s ancient prophecies, which are often linked to war and the destruction of the world. In his work Les Prophéties, Nostradamus employs symbolic and metaphorical language, including depictions of ‘fire from the sky’ and ‘great wars’, which some interpret as signs of a large-scale global conflict.

However, experts say such interpretations cannot be used as direct references for reading current geopolitical conditions, given the numerous interpretations.

‘The writings of Nostradamus are highly symbolic and open to various interpretations. He never mentions specific events, countries, or times,’ European historian Jean Dupont said, quoted on Tuesday (3 March 2026).

According to him, the prophecies reflect social anxieties of his era more than concrete predictions about the future. A similar view was expressed by geopolitical analysts who say public concerns about nuclear war still lack a solid basis.

‘There is no real indication that the current conflict will develop into nuclear war or World War III,’ said global security analyst Michael Hart.

He added that the use of nuclear weapons remains constrained by humanitarian, political considerations, and tight international agreements. Global institutions continue to push for de-escalation efforts to prevent the conflict from spreading.

Observers note that although geopolitical tensions have risen, diplomatic mechanisms and the global early-warning system continue to play a key role in preventing the conflict from developing into a world war.

Thus, although the World War III issue has resurfaced as the global conflict heats up, experts stress that Nostradamus’s prophecies cannot be used as a basis for predicting the likelihood of a major war in the future.

The global situation should be understood through developments in politics and security rather than solely through interpretations of ancient prophecies.
