Australian Men to be Deported from Papua
Three Australian men are expected to be deported from Indonesia this month after conducting a ‘dark flight’ into South Papua and serving prison sentences in Indonesia. Zulfukar Aljubouri and Duong Tan Le, suspected fugitives from Sydney, were found guilty by the Merauke District Court for entering Indonesia without valid visas. A pilot from Queensland, Jay Victor Davis, was also found guilty of assisting the two individuals. The Australian Federal Police suspect the two men from Sydney were picked up on 17 November at an airstrip in Port Stewart, North Queensland, by an aircraft operating with its transponder turned off. During the trial, Zulfukar testified that he and Duong were partners in a tobacco business and fled after receiving threats from competitors.

The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, was removed from his position on Tuesday, as announced by the Minister of State Secretary, Prasimosetyo Hadi, at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. President Prabowo has appointed Nanik S. Deyang to replace Dadan. Minister Prasetyo Hadi stated that Dadan’s removal was based on President Prabowo’s considerations following evaluations over the past 1.5 years. ‘There were issues regarding discipline in implementing SOPs, issues regarding discipline in governance, and discipline in maintaining the quality of food that should have been established by the National Nutrition Agency,’ Prasetyo explained.
Dozens Killed in Ukraine Explosion
Russia launched massive attacks on several Ukrainian cities, killing at least 22 people and injuring more than 100. Among the 16 people killed in the city of Dnipro, central Ukraine, were a three-year-old child and a woman with her eight-year-old son, officials said. Six others died in Kyiv. The attacks occurred after Russia warned of ‘systematic’ strikes against Ukraine following a deadly drone attack on a dormitory in the Russian-occupied Luhansk region last month. Ukraine has denied targeting the dormitory.
Heatwave in India Claims Lives
