World Index adds RI
LONDON (Reuter): Following its quarterly meeting, the FT/S&P-
Actuaries World Index Policy Committee is to add the Philippines
and Indonesia to its World Indices from July 1.
The Philippines will account for 0.12 percent of the FT/S&P
World Index, 2.42 percent of the Pacific Excluding Japan Index
and 0.47 percent of the Pacific Including Japan Index, the
committee said in a statement.
Indonesia will be 0.14 percent of the World Index, 2.59
percent of the Pacific Ex Japan and 0.50 percent of Pacific Inc
Japan.
FT/S&P Actuaries World Indices are jointly compiled by FT-SE
International, Goldman, Sachs & Co and Standard & Poor's in
conjunction with the Institute of Actuaries and the Faculty of
Actuaries. NatWest Securities Ltd is a co-founder.
The indices are used by fund managers to allocate assets and
measure performance.
