World bowlers in Indocement Cup

JAKARTA (JP): World bowlers will participate in the 12th
Indocement Cup Bowling Championships in Ancol, North Jakarta,
from May 22 to June 1.

Gemma Burden of England (1995 Women's World Champion), Sweden
Marie Holmquist (1994 Women's World Champion) and American Drew
Hylen (1995 Men's amateur champion) will take part in the Rp 100
million (US$43,500) championships. A Volvo 960 and a Mazda Cronos
will be available for those who can reach a score of 300 for a
perfect game.

Katrina Kakkula of Finland, Andrew Frawley of Australia,
finalist of last year's Indocement Cup championships, and Cara
Honeychurch of the same country have guaranteed their
participation.

The championships, which will see 50 bowlers from 10 countries
competing, will be officially opened by State Minister of Youth
Affairs and Sports Hayono Isman. (yan)
