World Bank loans Vietnam $322m
HANOI: Vietnam and the World Bank signed two credit agreements
on Thursday worth US$322 million to fund projects aimed at
increasing economic growth and reducing poverty in the communist
nation.
The first soft loan, totaling US$100 million, is part of a
general poverty reduction program, while the other, worth $222
million, will be used to improve living conditions for urban poor
in four cities. -- AFP
