Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, has assured that the government of President Prabowo Subianto will maintain supplies, reserves, and prices of energy, including petrol, diesel, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). Bahlil stated that President Prabowo Subianto has instructed continuous monitoring of public energy needs, particularly during Eid travel and return flows, amid the still-heating geopolitical situation in the Middle East. “Insha’Allah, the government will safeguard energy supplies, energy reserves, and prices, and various opportunities even though the entire world is affected. We are grateful that today the fuel in our beloved country is good—petrol, diesel, LPG are well fulfilled,” explained Bahlil during a visit to a petrol station in Bolon, Colomadu Subdistrict, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java, on Thursday (26/3/2026). On the other hand, Bahlil acknowledged that the geopolitical situation in the Middle East cannot be predicted when it will end. Therefore, he hopes this situation can be resolved and not drag on too long. Regarding this, President Prabowo, according to Bahlil, has asked Indonesia to continue seeking oil supplies from nearly all countries optimally. Thus, it is believed that Indonesia’s energy supplies can remain safe even if neighbouring countries are in emergency or undesired conditions. “We assure that our diesel, Insha’Allah, is not imported, so it’s clear. Petrol BBM is 50% imported, partly domestic. For LPG, I am confident we are in a good condition, Insha’Allah,” Bahlil emphasised.
