REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – A suspected case of violence against children and toddlers at the Little Aresha daycare facility in Yogyakarta City has drawn public attention. This incident has sparked deep concerns, particularly among working mothers who entrust their children to daycares.

Vivie Ive, an accountant from Bekasi working at a market research company in South Jakarta, admitted that the news made her anxious about the possibility of her child experiencing something similar. She has been placing her child in a daycare in the Bekasi area since the age of three months, up to now 14 months old.

“The biggest fear is certainly cases of violence and abuse. On the other hand, I’m also afraid that the child feels more comfortable at the daycare than at home with the parents,” said Vivie when contacted by Republika on Monday (27/4/2026).

To address her worries, Vivie has her own way of ensuring her little one’s condition remains safe after leaving the daycare. She usually observes the child’s behaviour, from whether they seem fussy, appear scared, or suddenly refuse to be left.

Not only that, when changing the nappy, Vivie does not forget to check her child’s body. Fortunately, the daycare chosen by Vivie for entrusting her child is always trustworthy and professional.
