I was concerned to learn that the hike in the regional minimum
wage for Jakarta and its surrounding areas has become a
controversy between the city governor and businesspeople.
Generally, workers are supporting the gubernatorial decree on the
increase in the regional minimum wage while businesspeople feel
that they will suffer losses due to the proposed new wage.

I hope that relevant parties will find a way to resolve this
matter wisely. The economic situation in the country is still
ailing. So, don't let this controversy worsen the country's
current condition. Otherwise, it is our country's frail economy
that will deteriorate further.
