Workers' Union Distributes Rp117 Million in Donations for Post-Disaster Education Facility Recovery in Aceh
The Panasonic Gobel Workers’ Federation (FSPPG-KSARBUMUSI) has distributed a social donation of Rp117 million, sourced from employee contributions, to construct sanitation facilities (MCK) and provide furniture at MTsS Babah Kreung in Pidie Jaya Regency, Aceh, which was affected by a disaster. In realising this madrasah rehabilitation programme, FSPPG-KSARBUMUSI collaborated with the Central Executive Board of PERGUNU to support the creation of a proper, comfortable, and safe learning environment for students and teachers there. The handover of the aid was marked by the signing of an inscription at the Mahyal Ulum Al Aziziyah Islamic Boarding School in Aceh Besar Regency, coinciding with the inauguration of the Aceh PERGUNU Regional Board and the Aceh National Santri Independence Network (JKSN) Regional Board for the 2026–2031 term. K.H. Asep Saifuddin Chalim, Chairman of PP PERGUNU and PP JKSN, stated that the signing of the inscription symbolises strong synergy in building the madrasah education sector, adding that through the provision of adequate physical facilities, the spirit to deliver safe and quality education for the nation’s future generations is strengthened. The physical assistance, comprising new MCK facilities and furniture, is expected to immediately improve hygiene standards and learning comfort within the madrasah environment. This post-disaster recovery programme serves as tangible evidence of cross-organisational concern for the continuity of education for affected children. Munir Bagio, Vice President of FSPPG KSARBUMUSI, said the assistance represents a form of care and solidarity from Panasonic Gobel Group workers in supporting the continuity of education, expressing hope that the facilities provided will deliver long-term benefits for students, teaching staff, and the surrounding community. Previously, the Panasonic Gobel Group also distributed flood and landslide aid in Sumatra, including Aceh, valued at Rp2.4 billion in the form of 10,000 units of radios, torches, and batteries through the Indonesian Red Cross, as well as constructing a Ready-to-Drink Water facility in Karang Baru, Aceh Tamiang. Through this programme, FSPPG-KSARBUMUSI affirmed its commitment to continuously contribute to supporting social welfare and educational advancement in Indonesia through synergy with various parties.
