Workers Gather at Monas, Preparing to Celebrate May Day Fiesta 2026

Workers from various regions have started arriving in the National Monument area, Central Jakarta, on Friday (1/5/2026). Their arrival is to celebrate International Labour Day titled May Day Fiesta, centred in that area. Based on observations by CNBC Indonesia on the ground, workers are entering orderly through the Horse Statue Gate. They, both men and women, are wearing attributes from various companies and organisations. As of the publication of this news, workers continue to arrive using buses and private vehicles. As a note, the International Labour Day celebration titled May Day Fiesta is centred in the Monas area, Central Jakarta, on Friday (1/5/2026). The event will run until 15:30 WIB. “Metro Jaya Police have prepared situational traffic arrangements. The public active around Monas is advised to adjust travel time and follow directions from officers in the field,” stated the official Instagram account of Metro Jaya Police. According to Metro Jaya Police, the priority is the security and comfort of the public. On that occasion, Prabowo is reported to deliver a speech as well as announce policies related to labour.
