Work From Home for Civil Servants Extended by Two Months – RILIS ID
RILISID, Jakarta — The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, said the government will continue the Work From Home (WFH) policy for Civil Servants (ASN) and private-sector workers for two more months.
This was decided at a Limited Cabinet Meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, 21 May 2026.
The meeting was also attended by Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo, Trade Minister Budi Santoso, Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang, and Investment and Hilirisasi Minister / BKPM head Rosan Roslani.
“We discussed various policies to be taken, including a policy package related to the economy going forward, in a situation where the war (the conflict in the Middle East) has not ended, so the work-from-home policy will be extended for two more months,” Airlangga Hartarto said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta.
It is known that WFH for ASN has been in effect for about a month since the government formally implemented it from 1 April 2026. The policy is observed every Friday.
Not only for ASN, the Ministry of Manpower has also issued a call for the private sector and state-owned enterprises (BUMN) / regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) to implement similar policies, although not mandatory.
