The Wonogiri Police Criminal Investigation Unit has named Bripka E (37), a member of the Wonogiri Police in Central Java, a suspect in a sexual violence case. The alleged victim is N (19), the daughter of a colleague of Bripka E. Wonogiri Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head Iptu Agung Sedewo stated that the police received a report regarding the alleged sexual violence committed by Bripka E on Friday, 17 July 2026. “We received an initial report on Friday, 17 July, that a child of a Wonogiri Police member had become a victim of sexual harassment perpetrated by a colleague or someone sharing an office with the victim’s father,” he said during an interview on Tuesday, 21 July 2026. He added that after receiving the report, his team immediately conducted an investigation and examination of Bripka E as the alleged perpetrator. “Then on 18 July 2026, we named the individual a suspect,” Agung said. According to Agung, Bripka E has admitted to his actions and wrongdoing. Furthermore, the Wonogiri Police Criminal Investigation Unit has gathered sufficient evidence to name Bripka E a suspect. “We are applying the Sexual Violence Crime Law, which carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison,” he stated. Agung explained that based on the investigation, the case began when Bripka E and N engaged in conversation via an instant messaging application. Bripka E was the one who first asked for N’s mobile phone number. “The perpetrator used the pretext of luring the victim by promising to provide solutions to the victim’s life problems,” Agung said.
