Eid prayer in scenic locations has become increasingly popular. Another location offering mountain views for Eid prayer is Wonogiri Regency, Central Java. Kompas.com witnessed the Eid prayer site’s scenic beauty during the Eid al-Adha prayer on Wednesday, 27 May 2026. The location is at Krumpyung Field in Kepatihan Village, Selogiri District. The mountain range forms a semi-circle to the south of the field, with Puncak Gajah Mungkur — a giant rock formation — clearly visible. ‘We can worship with an extraordinary view, which is appealing. Therefore, we hope that next year it will attract tourists and those seeking a unique worship experience,’ said Kepatihan Village Head Agus Suyitno after the prayer.
