Wong-Hang opens in Jakarta

JAKARTA (JP): PT Wong-Hang Distinguished Tailor, a Surabaya- based tailor with an international reputation, has opened its latest branch in Mangga Besar, Central Jakarta, with an investment of Rp 1 billion (US$431,034).

"Despite tight competition, there are bright prospects for our tailoring services in Jakarta. We expect to get 100 orders every month with tailoring fees ranging from Rp 500,000 to Rp 2.5 million each," said Peter Wongso, the president of PT Wong-Hang, which was set up 63 years ago.

He said that the company, which grew by 25 percent per year with a profit of Rp 500 million last year, has won a number of international awards, including the Asian Federation of Master Tailor, the ASEAN Golden Pin Award and the Master Tailoring & Designers Award from Germany. (13)
