Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion Wins Best Booth Design at SITF 2026
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Tourism, through the Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion, has achieved the ‘Best Booth Design’ award at the Seoul International Travel and Travel Fair (SITF) 2026.
‘This award serves as an important momentum to strengthen the promotion of Indonesian tourism in the South Korean market, which is currently the seventh largest contributor of international tourists to Indonesia,’ stated Ni Made Ayu Marthini, Deputy for Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism, in an official statement confirmed in Jakarta on Monday.
Made explained that SITF 2026 is one of the largest tourism fairs in East Asia, featuring 41 participating countries this year and attracting over 400,000 visitors. During the event, the government presented the ‘Go Beyond Ordinary’ campaign alongside eight tourism industry players representing several premier destinations, including Batam, Bali, Lombok, Labuan Bajo, Flores, North Sulawesi, and East Nusa Tenggara.
In addition to consumer selling (B2C) activities, SITF 2026 also hosted a travel mart (B2B) to bring together Indonesian and South Korean tourism industry players to explore business cooperation opportunities and market development. Furthermore, the ‘Indonesia Coffee Corner’ became a major attraction, featuring various signature Indonesian coffees such as Gayo, Toraja, and Mandailing, enriching the visitors’ experience of Indonesia’s cultural richness and flavours.
From the series of activities held between 4–7 June 2026, Indonesia successfully recorded a potential visitor count of 4,970 people, with an estimated potential transaction value reaching Rp144 billion.
‘Through our participation in SITF 2026, we continue to promote various flagship tourism products, ranging from marine, wellness, luxury, to gastronomy tourism. This Best Booth Design award further strengthens Indonesia’s image as a world-class tourism destination in the South Korean market,’ said Made.
South Korea remains a priority market for Indonesian tourism. In 2025, visits from South Korean tourists to Indonesia reached 496,862, representing a 13.97 per cent increase compared to the previous year. This positive trend continued into April 2026, growing by 16.75 per cent compared to the previous month.
