Women 'admitted' to soccer matches

DOHA (DPA): Women are to be allowed to attend soccer matches in the Gulf state of Qatar for the first time and with immediate effect, the Al Hayet daily reported Saturday.

The report said that women will have their own section in the Caliph stadium.

The move came after Sheik Hamad Bin Chalifa El Thani said he wanted to allow women into new areas in society.
