Woman's Skeletal Remains Found in Depok; Husband Arrested for October 2025 Murder
Police have revealed new details concerning the murder case of a woman identified as DH (56), whose skeletal remains were found in Meruyung, Limo, Depok City, West Java.
From police investigation, it emerged that the victim was allegedly murdered by her unregistered husband, Ahmad Ronny Hasiholan (ARH), in October 2025.
Deputy Head of the Metro Jaya Regional Police’s Rapid Response Unit, AKBP Resa Fiardi, stated that the victim had entered into an unregistered marriage with the suspect in December 2024 in Bogor. The couple subsequently settled in Bogor.
In April 2025, both decided to relocate to the victim’s house, which was located in Meruyung. Shortly thereafter, in October 2025, the couple became embroiled in a quarrel, and the victim expelled the suspect from her home.
“At that moment, the suspect immediately covered the victim’s mouth with his right hand. The victim then resisted by scratching the suspect,” Resa told reporters on Tuesday (10 March).
Not stopping there, the suspect strangled the victim’s neck with his left hand until she became unconscious and defenceless. The suspect then took a plastic cord and tied it around the victim’s neck.
“Subsequently, the suspect waited for approximately one hour whilst observing the victim’s condition. After the victim ceased breathing, the suspect immediately dragged her into the victim’s bedroom and covered her with a carpet,” Resa explained.
After committing the act, the suspect took the victim’s mobile phone and left the house using the victim’s motorcycle.
The skeletal remains of DH (56) were discovered in a house in Meruyung, Limo, Depok, on Saturday (7 March).
The discovery of the victim’s remains occurred when witnesses R and L arrived to clean the victim’s house. While cleaning the bedroom, R intended to place a pile of clothing into a plastic bag.
Upon removing the carpet covering the pile of clothing, witness R discovered human leg bones. The discovery was subsequently reported to the authorities.
“Witness R suddenly spotted a pair of human legs showing visible bone structure and dry, shrivelled skin,” stated Cinere Police Chief Kompol Chaerul Saleh in his statement on Monday (9 March).
Following investigation, police successfully arrested Ahmad Ronny Hasiholan (ARH), who was the victim’s unregistered husband.
Ahmad was arrested in the Jatimulya area, Tambun Selatan, Bekasi Regency, West Java on Sunday (8 March) at approximately 15.30 WIB.
