The body of a woman was found inside a Toyota Kijang Innova with government registration plates parked in the Terminal 1 area of Juanda International Airport in Sidoarjo. The deceased was discovered seated in the left front passenger seat.

According to reports, the vehicle entered the Terminal 1 car park on Saturday (20/6/2026). The body was found on Wednesday (24/6). Parking data indicated that the vehicle had not left the area for four days before the deceased woman was discovered inside.

The discovery caused a commotion after officers and local residents noticed blood seeping out to the area surrounding the car. The position of the body in the left front seat suggested that the victim was a passenger in the official vehicle, rather than the driver.

A worker at the scene stated that the victim was a woman from Bangkalan Regency, Madura. However, her full identity is still pending the results of the official investigation.

“The management of Juanda International Airport confirms the incident involving the discovery of a deceased woman in the Terminal 1 parking area on 24 June 2026 at 11.30 WIB,” said General Manager of Juanda International Airport, Muhammad Tohir, in a written statement on Wednesday (24/6/2026).

He added that the body had been evacuated and taken to the Pusdik Bhayangkara Hospital for further examination. “The body has been taken to the Pusdik Bhayangkara Hospital,” he stated.
