A woman was struck by a Rangkasbitung–Tanah Abang Commuter Line train (Green Line) in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. The incident briefly delayed three Green Line services.

“Between Palmerah Station and Tanah Abang Station, a person was struck by Commuter Line train number 1693D,” KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager Leza Arlan said in a statement on Friday (30 October 2026).

He said the incident occurred at around 11.47am. The victim, a woman, suffered serious injuries after being hit by the train.

“The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM),” he said.

Staff then inspected the train. Leza said it was confirmed safe at 12 noon and resumed its journey.

KAI Commuter staff also coordinated with Tanah Abang Metro Police to evacuate the victim, he added.

The incident delayed three train services by between two and 14 minutes. Leza urged the public to give priority to railway operations and not to carry out activities along the tracks, as these could disrupt train services.
