Woman reports niece's rape

JAKARTA (JP): The aunt of a 15-year-old street singer reported
the teenager's rape allegedly by another singer, identified as
Leo, 17, to the West Jakarta Police on Monday.

A source at the West Jakarta Police identified the victim by
her initials SA, a resident of Kemanggisan Ilir, West Jakarta.

"The victim's aunt, Yati, 40, reported to us that her niece
was raped by Leo, also a singing beggar, on Sunday night, under
the Grogol bridge," the source said.

"SA had left her house to beg on Sunday, but did not return.
On Monday morning, an unidentified kind woman returned SA to her
aunt. SA looked very disoriented and seemed to be in shock when
she was returned."

When SA was asked what was the matter, the source said SA only
said that she was raped at about 8 p.m. on Sunday.

"SA said nothing more, her mind seemed elsewhere." (ylt)
