Woman Raped by Father and Uncle in Bekasi, Abuse Ongoing Since 2019

A 21-year-old woman became the victim of rape by her uncle and biological father in Bekasi Regency, West Java. However, the victim had been molested since the age of 12.

“At the time of the incident, we explain that the sexual violence experienced by this victim began in 2017. At that time, the victim was still in the 6th grade of primary school, or around 12 years old,” said the Acting Head of Metro Bekasi Police, Commissioner Ikhlas Putro Wasono, at a press conference at his office on Tuesday (21/7/2026).

“So at that time, the violence experienced was still in the form of molestation, and intercourse had not yet occurred,” he added.

Meanwhile, he said the victim was first raped by the perpetrator in July 2019. The victim herself is now 22 years old.

“The first time the victim experienced intercourse was in July 2019, and it continued until the last incident around February 2024, meaning the victim endured this sexual violence for around seven years,” he added.

One Perpetrator Arrested

Previously, a 21-year-old woman in Bekasi Regency, West Java, was raped over several years by her own biological father and two of her uncles. Three perpetrators have now been identified.

“The perpetrators who have been identified number three people,” said the Acting Head of Metro Bekasi Police, Commissioner Ikhlas Putro Wasono, at a press conference at his office.

One perpetrator, with the initial W (42), has been arrested by investigators. Perpetrator W is the victim’s uncle.

“The evidence we managed to seize includes one piece of green housewear, one red Vivo Y12 mobile phone, and tissues,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the two other perpetrators are still being pursued by officers. Police have not yet disclosed the initials of the two suspects still on the run.
