Woman in Semarang Stabbed by Husband While Collecting Child's School Report

A woman with the initials AY (25) became the victim of a stabbing by her husband, F (29), while collecting their child’s report card at SDN 02 Kalipancur, Semarang City, Central Java, on Friday (19/6/2026). AY is currently receiving treatment in hospital.

Ngaliyan Police Chief Kompol Aliet Alphard revealed that the stabbing occurred around 08:15 WIB. He stated that AY and F were in the process of divorcing.

“The wife had not returned home for two months, and they met today while picking up their child’s report at SDN 02. As soon as he saw his wife, he approached her and stabbed her with a screwdriver,” said Aliet.

He added that AY sustained three stab wounds. The victim was then rushed to William Booth Hospital. Aliet confirmed that F has now been arrested.

Meanwhile, Semarang Police Public Relations Head Kompol Riki Fahmi Mubarok disclosed that long before the stabbing, F and AY had been facing domestic problems. “The wife had also filed for divorce against the husband and they had not seen each other for a long time,” he said.
