Woman in Official Car Delivers Clothes to NTB Police Mobile Brigade HQ Holding Graft-Suspect Regent

A woman in a brown official uniform driving a government car visited the Mobile Brigade (Satbrimob) headquarters of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police, which is suspected to be the temporary detention site for West Lombok Regent Lalu Ahmad Zaini (LAZ). He was caught in a sting operation (OTT) by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

“Just delivering clothes,” she remarked from inside the vehicle to the guard on duty, Monday (20/7/2026).

The woman arrived in a government car with the registration number DR 1243 DL, belonging to the West Lombok Regency Government (Pemkab), entering at around 16:40 Central Indonesia Time (WITA). When asked for whom the clothes were intended, the woman refused to speak and drove straight into the Mako Satbrimob Polda NTB compound. The vehicle exited shortly afterwards, at approximately 16:46 WITA.

KPK Deputy Chairperson Fitroh Rohcahyanto confirmed that LAZ was caught in the sting operation. “That is correct,” he said, as quoted by detikNews. He has not yet explained who else was caught in the OTT besides Ahmad Zaini, nor has he detailed the case that led to Lalu’s arrest. Those caught in the sting operation currently hold the status of individuals under examination. The KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the legal status of the parties involved.

It was previously reported that the KPK sealed two offices of key officials in the West Lombok Regency Government on Monday (20/7) morning. The workspaces of LAZ and the Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Areas Agency (PUPRPKP), Lalu Ratnawo, were marked with tape reading ‘Do not cross the line’.
