BANDUNG — A woman with the Instagram account @adindareligia requested a police escort when travelling home from her workplace on Jalan Rajawali, Bandung City, to the Sulaiman area of Margahayu, Bandung Regency, on Monday evening (20/7/2026). She said she was worried about being ambushed by highway robbers whilst riding her motorcycle home.

On her Instagram account, Adinda showed officers arriving in a police car to meet her. She was then escorted on her motorcycle all the way to the Sulaiman area of Bandung Regency on Monday evening (20/7/2026).

The woman admitted she was surprised to be escorted by a police car. Nevertheless, officers accompanied her all the way to her house.

Andir Police Chief AKP Triyono Raharja confirmed the incident took place on Monday (20/7/2026). He said officers received a report through the 110 emergency channel from a woman who was heading home from work and requested an escort.

“Yes, perhaps because she felt afraid, she contacted the 110 service,” he said on Wednesday (22/7/2026).

He said officers from Andir Police Station immediately went to the location and then escorted the woman to her home in the Sulaiman area of Bandung Regency.

The police chief said this was the first escort request received by Andir Police Station. He said there was no problem with residents asking to be escorted home out of fear of criminal activity.

“This is the first time someone has asked to be escorted home,” he said.

He explained that the woman was afraid to travel home because it was already late at night. Moreover, social media is currently abuzz with talk of numerous street crimes in Bandung.

“As a form of service to the community, we are of course pleased to be able to escort her all the way home,” he said.
