Woman Found Dead in South Jakarta Hotel Confirmed Murder Victim, Suspect Arrested

A 20-year-old woman identified as L was found dead in a hotel room in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, confirmed as a murder victim. Police have arrested the suspect, according to Polda Metro Jaya’s Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, who spoke to detikcom on Saturday, 30 May 2026. Hermanto did not disclose the suspect’s identity or the murder details, stating the suspect is undergoing intensive questioning at Polda Metro Jaya headquarters. The body was discovered on Friday, 29 May at around 1pm after security personnel checked the room, which had been rented since Thursday, 28 May. When knocking went unanswered, staff used a spare key to enter and found the victim deceased. Assistant Commissioner Nugrahadi Kusuma, Kebayoran Baru Police Chief, confirmed visible head injuries.
