A 55-year-old woman identified as LK was found dead in her guest house room on Jalan Majapahit, Gang Gunung Agung, Teges Kelod, Gianyar, Bali. She is suspected to have died from hypertension. Gianyar Police Residency’s Public Relations Section Head, Ipda I Gusti Ngurah Suardita, stated on Sunday, 31 May 2026, that the incident was first reported at 11:30 AM WITA by the victim’s relative, Desak Nyoman Arwati. Suardita explained that the relative went to the guest house after learning LK had not gone to work. She was found stiff and lifeless, seated near her bed. “Showing no signs of life, the reporter sought assistance from other guests and immediately reported the incident to the police,” Suardita said. Police checked the room and the body, finding no signs of violence or irregularities. The body was transported to Sanjiwani Regional Hospital in Gianyar. “The preliminary suspicion is that the victim died due to health issues related to hypertension,” Suardita added. He noted that the exact cause of death can only be confirmed via autopsy, but the family deemed there were no irregularities and opted against it.
