Police have revealed the murder of a 56-year-old woman with the initials DH, whose skeletal remains were discovered in Meruyung, Limo, Depok, West Java. The victim was killed in October 2025.

“Suspect Ahmad Ronny Hasiholan murdered the victim following a quarrel at his residence (the crime scene) in October 2025,” said Resa Fiardi, Head of the Mobile Response Division of Metro Jaya Police Regional Police Command, on Tuesday (10 March 2026).

The victim screamed whilst arguing with the perpetrator. The perpetrator then killed the victim by strangling her with a rope until she died.

“The suspect then immediately placed the victim in a room and covered her with carpet,” he added.

The perpetrator has since been arrested and the case is being handled by Metro Jaya Police Regional Command. The perpetrator remains under intensive interrogation.

The victim’s body was transported to Kramat Jati Polri Hospital in East Jakarta for autopsy. According to witness testimony, the victim frequently quarrelled with her informal husband. Police also discovered evidence of violence on the victim’s body.

“According to the statement of a neighbourhood leader with the initials SS, the victim and her informal husband had a history of domestic disputes,” he stated.

When the body was discovered, the victim’s remains had been dusted with coffee powder.

“During identification checks, coffee powder was found sprinkled on the victim’s remains,” he concluded.
