Woman-eating crocodile stuffed

SAMARINDA, East Kalimantan: A 7.6-meter-long crocodile killed
after devouring a woman in Kutai last week will be stuffed.

Kutai regent H.A.M. Sulaiman said here on Saturday that PT
Pupuk Kaltim and PT LNG Bontang have agreed to provide about 100
bottles of formaldehyde needed to stuff the beast.

"The animal will be kept in the Mulawarman Museum in
Tenggarong, Kutai," Sulaiman was quoted by Antara as saying. He
added that the crocodile would be exhumed for the stuffing.

The report did not explain how the woman, Haerani, happened to
be attacked and devoured by the animal. Many East Kalimantan
rivers and swamps are known to be infested with crocodiles. (pan)
