Woman dies in fall on campus

JAKARTA (JP): A woman died after a fall Wednesday from a 17- story building on the Tarumanagara University campus at Jl. Letjen S. Parman, West Jakarta.

Police identified her as Lie Sioe Ping, 39, a resident of Jl. Petojo in Central Jakarta. Students at the scene of the accident said she was not part of the campus community.

Lie's body was found by a scavenger named Suradi at about 10:15 a.m. when he was collecting trash.

"I found her lying in a pool of blood with her head injured a few moments after hearing a big thud," he said.

Sgt. Yostugito of the West Jakarta police said an investigation was underway into her death.

The woman's body was collected by her husband Wednesday night from Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital following an autopsy. (ivy)
