Woman Attends Tangerang Police Headquarters at Noon, Admits Killing Husband

A woman identified by the initials EM has admitted to killing her husband, J, at their home in Kapling Pinang, Tigaraksa Subdistrict, Tigaraksa District, Tangerang Regency. Tangerang City Police Chief Commissioner Andi Muhammad Indra Waspada Amirullah said the incident came to light when EM arrived at the Tangerang City Police on Friday (6 March 2026) at around 11:00 WIB. To the police, EM claimed she had ended her husband’s life. Following the confession, officers went to the scene to verify the truth and conduct a crime-scene examination. EM is being held at the Tangerang City Police for further questioning. At the location, officers seized several items of evidence and took statements from witnesses nearby. The victim’s body was transported to RSUD Balaraja for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. ‘The investigative steps are being taken to clearly reveal the chronology of the incident and the motive,’ he said. Investigators are still probing by questioning witnesses and collecting additional evidence. The chronology and motive are not yet known. Further developments will be disclosed.
