WKI Secures Two Awards at TOP GRC Awards 2026
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Waskita Karya Infrastruktur (WKI) has achieved two awards at the TOP GRC Awards 2026, an event that emphasises excellence in corporate governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC).
According to an official statement from WKI in Jakarta on Friday, the two awards include the TOP GRC Awards 2026 - 4 Stars predicate for WKI, and ‘The Most Committed GRC Leader 2026’, awarded to the Acting President Director of WKI, Bambang Dwi Wijayanto.
Bambang stated that the 4-star rating received by WKI represents an improvement from the previous year, when the company achieved a 3-star rating.
“For us, GRC is not merely about fulfilling regulatory obligations. We integrate GRC into every business decision, from the strategic to the operational level, to ensure the Company’s growth remains healthy, measurable, and sustainable,” said Bambang.
At WKI, the implementation of GRC is manifested through risk-based tender reviews, a Risk Management Committee, an Investment and Divestment Committee, centralised payments, and the integration of risk indicators with key performance indicators (KPIs).
Bambang noted that these mechanisms assist management in identifying risks from the planning stage, establishing mitigations, and monitoring their implementation.
As a company operating in the infrastructure sector, WKI faces risks related to contracts, funding, operations, and compliance. Consequently, risk management is utilised to strengthen project selection, contract control, cash flow monitoring, and fraud risk mitigation.
“Risk management does not directly generate revenue. Its contribution is helping to ensure that revenue is obtained from healthier decisions and projects, with acceptable risks, maintained margins, and controlled cash flows. Our measure of success is not the number of risks recorded, but the quality of decisions and the corporate value that can be protected,” explained Bambang.
He continued that the strengthening of GRC aligns with WKI’s vision to become a trusted partner in the fields of sustainable infrastructure and new and renewable energy (EBT).
Consistent GRC implementation is expected to bolster WKI’s credibility and maintain the trust of strategic partners amidst the dynamics of the infrastructure and renewable energy industries.
“This award serves as feedback for us to continue improving GRC maturity and to ensure its implementation delivers a real impact on decision quality and corporate sustainability,” said Bambang.
