Witnessed by Prabowo, Attorney General Deposits Rp 11.4 Trillion in Case Confiscations to State Treasury

Attorney General ST Burhanuddin handed over Rp 11.4 trillion from case confiscations to Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa. The funds represent an accumulation from confiscations in corruption cases and the collection of administrative fines for forest area misuse by the Forest Area Regulation Task Force (Satgas PKH).

The handover ceremony took place at the Attorney General’s Office complex in South Jakarta on Friday (10/4/2026). The transfer of funds was witnessed directly by President Prabowo Subianto.

“Today, as a demonstration of transparency in our performance to the public, we will hand over a total of Rp 11,420,140,815,858 to the state treasury,” said Burhanuddin.

Burhanuddin detailed that Rp 7.3 trillion came from administrative forestry fines by Satgas PKH. The fines were obtained from several palm oil and mining companies proven to have used forest land.

“First, the collection of administrative fines in the forestry sector by Satgas PKH amounting to Rp 7,230,036,440,742,” he specified.

Then, Rp 1.9 trillion consists of non-tax state revenues (PNBP) from handling corruption crimes managed by the Attorney General’s Office. Followed by tax deposit revenues from January to April 2026 amounting to Rp 967,779,018,290.

Furthermore, state revenues through tax deposits for the period of 28 February 2026 from PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara amounting to Rp 108,574,203,443, as well as PNBP from environmental life fines amounting to Rp 1,145,847,307,471.

The Attorney General stated that weak law enforcement would cause the state to lose money, assets, authority, and the ability to prosper the people. He said that strong law enforcement can restore state losses.

“On the other hand, strong, intelligent, and targeted law enforcement will improve governance, restore state losses, create a healthy business climate, and provide real impacts for the national economy,” he said.

Burhanuddin stated that law enforcement must be firm in order to maintain national stability. He said the state is responsible for realising welfare.

“Therefore, the state is constitutionally responsible for realising social welfare through an active role in managing protection and national interests,” he said.
