Witness in Hasbi Hasan Case Requests Special Case Review Regarding KPK Report
Linda Susanti, a witness in the alleged bribery case involving the former Secretary of the Supreme Court, Hasbi Hasan, is pursuing a special case review regarding reports of alleged document forgery filed with the Metro Jaya Regional Police following a report by the Corruption Eradruction Commission (KPK).
As the reported party, Linda has requested the special case review to clarify the core issues of the case, including the origin of the documents in question. She stated that this forum is essential to bring her and the reporting party together to discuss the matter transparently.
“I went to the Metro Jaya Regional Police based on a letter I submitted regarding a special case review. This review is important so that both parties can meet. Fortunately, Mr Asep Guntur and his investigators were present today,” Linda told journalists at the Metro Jaya Regional Police on Tuesday.
Linda claimed that the report was filed by the KPK’s Deputy of Enforcement, Asep Guntur, rather than the KPK institution itself. She noted that she met with Asep during the special case review forum.
“The reporter is not the institution, but Mr Asep Guntur personally. Therefore, when asked in detail, it was not the institution directly, but Mr Asep Guntur’s side that reported it,” she said.
Linda explained that she requested the special case review because she questions the reasons behind the report concerning the alleged use of forged documents. According to her, the documents in question were obtained from an individual named Arif, whom she knew as a KPK investigator.
During the special case review, Linda noted that Asep also brought an individual named Arif. However, she claimed that this person was not the same individual she had previously interacted with.
“They claimed it was the Arif who interrogated me, but as far as I remember, it was not that Arif. There is a difference in the person. I have met him often, so I recognise him. When they said, ‘Ma’am, this is the Arif who interrogated you,’ it was a different person,” Linda revealed.
Furthermore, Linda stated that the report against her has entered the investigation stage, although no suspect has been named yet. She hopes that the special case review will serve as a gateway to uncovering the true identity of the individual referred to as Arif and to clarify the entire situation.
“My hope is that they can help me uncover who this Arif really is. We must ensure there are no fake KPK officials,” she concluded.
Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reported Linda Susanti, a witness in the alleged bribery case of former Supreme Court Secretary Hasbi Hasan, to the Metro Jaya Regional Police regarding alleged document forgery.
“Reporting to the Metro Jaya Regional Police regarding the alleged forgery of documents committed by LS, related to the misuse of assets by Ms LS. We will await the process at the Metro Jaya Regional Police,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists on Tuesday.
Separately, the Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, confirmed the report from the KPK against Linda, stating that the police are still investigating the matter.
