RA Koesoemohadiani, Director of Legal and Group Corporate Secretary at PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), appeared as a witness in the alleged corruption case involving the procurement of Chromebook laptops and Chrome Device Management (CDM). Diani stated that no legal documents underpinned the Rp 809 billion transaction to former Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim.

This was conveyed by Diani while testifying at the Jakarta Anti-Corruption Court on Monday (23 February 2026). The defendant in the trial is Nadiem Anwar Makarim.

“Are you aware of any evidence that Rp 809 billion or any portion thereof was sent to Mr Nadiem?” asked Nadiem’s lawyer, Dodi S Abdulkadir.

“In terms of legal documents, there are no documents underpinning a transaction of Rp 809 billion between PT AKAB (PT Aplikasi Karya Anak Bangsa) and Mr Nadiem, or between PT Gojek Indonesia and Mr Nadiem. However, regarding the flow of funds, that would need to be directed to the finance department,” replied Koesoemohadiani.

Diani said that matters concerning the flow of funds would need to be referred to the finance division. Dodi then turned his questions to Adesty Kamelia Usman, Group Head of Finances and Accounting at GOTO, who was also present as a witness at the trial.

Dodi asked Adesty whether there was any flow of Rp 809 billion to Nadiem. Adesty stated that there was an Rp 809 billion transaction from PT AKAB to PT Gojek as payment for a share subscription on 13 October 2021.

Adesty said the funds were subsequently transferred back to PT AKAB as debt repayment. Adesty stated there was no payment made to Nadiem.

“Very well, let us ask Ms Adesty. Was there any flow of funds amounting to Rp 809 billion connected to the charges against Mr Nadiem?” asked Dodi.

“Based on what I can see from the bank statements of PT Gojek Indonesia and PT AKAB, there was a payment from PT AKAB to PT Gojek Indonesia on 13 October 2021 for a share subscription. On the same day, the money was transferred back to PT AKAB as debt repayment. So there was no payment to Mr Nadiem,” replied Adesty.

“There was none?” asked Dodi.

“There was none,” replied Adesty.

“None from GOTO?” asked Dodi.

“None,” replied Adesty.

In this case, Nadiem is charged with corruption related to the procurement of Chromebook laptops during his tenure as Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. The project is alleged to have caused state losses of Rp 2.1 trillion.

Nadiem had filed a preliminary objection. The judges rejected the objection and ordered the trial to proceed to the evidentiary stage.
