The Financial Services Authority, along with the Indonesia Stock Exchange and industry players, has launched the PINTAR Mutual Funds-SiMuda Investasiku Programme to encourage the younger generation to start investing early. The programme targets the 18-30 age group with a scheme of regular and affordable investments.

This initiative aims to build disciplined, long-term investment habits amid low capital market participation. Through periodic deposits, the public is encouraged to invest gradually with more measured risks.

PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) is participating by expanding access as a Mutual Fund Selling Agent (APERD). BSI offers sharia money market mutual fund products that are relatively low-risk and liquid. The minimum investment is set at Rp10,000 with no purchase or redemption fees, making it suitable for beginner investors.

Registration can be done through booths or digital channels with support from licensed marketing officers (WAPERD). This scheme opens access for the public who do not yet have investment accounts to start participating.

BSI President Director Anggoro Eko Cahyo said the programme is an opportunity to expand the base of young investors. “We are ready to support the government’s programme in introducing affordable investments to the younger generation. With a light nominal amount, the public can start investing earlier and build healthy financial habits,” Anggoro stated on Monday (27/4/2026).

BSI also provides various sharia mutual fund products from several investment managers, including Mandiri Manajemen Investasi, Bahana TCW Investment Management, Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia, Sucorinvest Asset Management, Trimegah Asset Management, and Batavia Prosperindo Aset Manajemen.

To increase participation, BSI is rolling out a bundling programme with Tabungan E-Mas. Customers have the opportunity to receive E-Mas savings balance rewards for purchasing Rp500,000 in mutual funds and Rp500,000 in Tabungan E-Mas according to applicable terms.

The programme is expected to expand capital market inclusion while strengthening Indonesia’s sharia financial ecosystem.
