With Promotion, KAI Sells Executive Tickets to Yogyakarta Starting from Rp500,000

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta has announced a 20% discount promotion allowing passengers to obtain executive class tickets to Yogyakarta starting from Rp500,000. “Through this programme, customers can enjoy more affordable fares for several popular routes. Travel to Yogyakarta is offered starting from Rp500,000, Surabaya from Rp600,000, and Semarang from Rp400,000 for executive class,” said Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in Jakarta on Friday. He stated that during the booking period from 25 March to 1 April 2026, 20,314 promotional tickets have been sold. Amid high public interest, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta assures that seat availability remains sufficient. “For the period from 27 March to 1 April 2026, there are around 100,000 executive class train seats available from the Daop 1 Jakarta region,” said Franoto. The promotion, titled “Silaturahmi Lebaran”, offers a 20% price reduction on executive class train tickets to provide a more affordable travel alternative for the public during the 2026 Lebaran transport period. “We present this promotion for departures from 25 March to 1 April 2026 so that the public can experience more affordable train travel without compromising comfort and service,” Franoto added. KAI Daop 1 Jakarta also recorded 168,816 seats still available for departures during the period from 27 March to 1 April 2026, which falls within the Lebaran transport period. The available tickets include various service classes, namely 101,698 executive class seats, 58,725 commercial economy seats, and 8,393 PSO economy seats. KAI urges prospective passengers to arrive at the station 30-60 minutes before the train’s departure.
