Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Wini State Border Crossing Post (PLBN) in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) recorded movement of 256 border crossers between Indonesia and Timor Leste arriving and departing on H-2 Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026.

The Head of PLBN Wini, Reynold Urban, in a statement received in Jakarta on Friday, said that border crossing activities in the area are still considered normal and under control. The activities are dominated by arrivals.

“Based on the data we have collected, departures reached 80 people, and arrivals numbered 176 people,” said Reynold.

He detailed that of the 80 people departing from PLBN Wini, 33 are Indonesian citizens (WNI) and 47 are foreign nationals (WNA). Meanwhile, the 176 arrivals consist of 17 WNI and 159 WNA.

PLBN Wini also recorded cross-border vehicle movements of 21 units departing, comprising 19 private vehicles and two cargo transports. Meanwhile, 44 vehicles entered.

“Vehicles entering through PLBN Wini total 44 units, dominated by 39 private vehicles and the remaining five cargo vehicles,” he stated.

According to him, overall, the crossing situation remains under control. However, they are still preparing anticipatory measures to address potential surges in homecoming travel ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

“Crossings at PLBN Wini are currently still monitored as normal and conducive. However, we are increasing readiness to anticipate the flow of homecoming and Eid holiday travel,” said Reynold.

Additionally, coordination is being strengthened with related agencies under the customs, immigration, quarantine, and security (CIQS) elements.

“We are preparing a joint post and health services through the PLBN Wini Health Office (BKK), as an effort to ensure the security, safety, and comfort of the public crossing the border area,” he said.
