PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, or Wika, recorded a debt reduction of Rp 3.87 trillion throughout 2025. This amount consists of a decrease in trade payables by Rp 1.79 trillion and interest-bearing debt by Rp 2.08 trillion, or a 29.5% reduction.

Wika’s Corporate Secretary, Ngatemin, stated that improvements in operational performance and capital structure enhancements through the eight-stream recovery measures form a crucial foundation for the company’s sustainability.

“In this year, the company will continue to strive for comprehensive restructuring to reduce the financial burden from executed assignments and divest assets that do not yet generate profits for the company,” he said in a written statement on Monday, 6 April 2026.

With the debt reduction, Wika claims the company is capable of superior and sustainable project management. Management is also continuously reducing liabilities and maintaining cash flow balance amid industry pressures.

Through the eight financial recovery steps, Ngatemin said Wika is accelerating receivables collection via legal mediation and enforcement efforts. The company has demonstrated this by reducing receivables by Rp 1.89 trillion, or 29.2%, to Rp 4.58 trillion, and the value of work in construction process by Rp 1.15 trillion, or 34.6%, in 2025.

Ngatemin stated that Wika believes the transformation steps undertaken require support from various parties, including shareholders, creditors, business partners, and other stakeholders. Management will continue intensive communication with majority shareholders to obtain the necessary support.

“And with all creditors to support the company’s recovery plan,” he added.
