WIKA Reports 7.44% Progress on Sekolah Rakyat Brebes Construction
PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) has reported that, as of 3 May 2026, the physical progress of the Sekolah Rakyat construction project in Brebes stands at 7.44 per cent. The construction focuses on structural work, which has reached 8.37 per cent, and site works at 1.36 per cent. “This achievement demonstrates a positive trend, where the deviation from the cumulative plan (S-curve) continues to improve compared to the previous week, reflecting the effectiveness of acceleration measures on site,” said WIKA President Director Agung Budi Waskito in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday. The project represents a synergy between state-owned enterprises and the government in strengthening the quality of Indonesia’s human resources through equitable and high-quality educational access, in line with the Astacita priorities in developing superior human capital. To maintain the acceleration momentum, WIKA is optimising various construction strategies, including the application of innovative methods using steel structures and Hollow Core Slab (HCS) floor plates to enhance implementation efficiency. Additionally, resource support is being strengthened through the addition of lifting equipment, heavy machinery, and increased workforce capacity. At its peak, the number of workers reaches 1,400 personnel with the implementation of two work shifts to optimise execution time. These efforts are balanced with more optimal working hour arrangements to ensure each stage of work progresses faster and is well-coordinated. Agung stated that the continuous progress improvements result from strong synergy between the government and state-owned enterprises, as well as the innovations applied in project execution. “WIKA continues to drive construction acceleration through work method optimisation and resource strengthening. This project is not only about physical construction but also part of collective efforts to support the government’s strategic agenda in improving national education quality,” said Agung. With these integrated acceleration efforts, the Sekolah Rakyat Brebes construction is expected to be completed on target and soon utilised as a facility to enhance education quality and human resource development in Indonesia.
